On a clear Seattle day, you can see downtown, Elliott Bay, the Olympic Mountain range, and the magnificent Mount Rainier. Kerry Park is also close to shopping and restaurants on Queen Anne Hill.
A great way to see Puget Sound! On a clear day, you can get great views of Mt. Rainier and the Olympics. If you're lucky you might even see an orca. Walk-on ferry tickets are much cheaper than taking your car. Ferries to Bainbridge island or Vashon island from downtown Seattle are your best bet.
The locks allow boats to travel from Lake Union to Puget Sound. The grounds also feature a fish ladder and the Carl S. English Jr. Botanical Garden — one of the most beautiful park settings in Seattle.
The Northwest Outdoor Center has 100 kayaks available for use right from their docks on Lake Union as well as classes and tours.

A scenic park on Lake Union made from the remnants of a coal gasification plant. It's great for taking for letting the dogs or kids run around, or just climbing the small hill to get a view of Lake Union sailboats and downtown.
Located in the heart of Seattle, Volunteer Park is home to the Volunteer Park Conservatory and the Seattle Asian Art Museum. Designed by the Olmstead brothers in 1909, the park features a greenhouse conservatory, an old water tower. The park’s Lakeview Cemetery is home to Bruce’s Lee’s gravesite, if you would like to pay your respects.
The Washington Park Arboretum is a 200-acre park on the shore of Lake Washington, in the Madison Park neighborhood of Seattle, with over 40,000 trees, shrubs and vines from all around the world. Arboretum highlights include hiking, canoeing and kayaking, picnics, and enjoying the year-round collection of magnificent flowers, plants and trees. We took engagement photos here!
Discovery Park is a 534 acre natural area park. Situated on Magnolia Bluff overlooking Puget Sound, Discovery Park offers spectacular view of both the Cascade and the Olympic Mountain ranges. The secluded site includes two miles of protected tidal beaches as well as open meadow lands, dramatic sea cliffs, forest groves, active sand dunes, thickets and streams.
Located in Ballard on Puget Sound, this popular park offers incredible views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains from a white sand beach.
